2021 Camp Dates
Monday, June 28, 2021 – Friday, August 20, 2021

Closed Monday, 7/5/21

Twin Oaks Day Camp offers a unique, age appropriate camping experience for children ages 20 months to 13 years…an experience that combines swimming, sports, arts & crafts, woodworking, theatre, music, Late Nights and interacting with new friends. Our campers stay with us for years, starting as Barneys and continuing through our Gemini Program! Many then go on to our Counselor-In-Training program! Our Campers become members of the Twin Oaks family…a family that has spanned generations!

Each week there’s a new fun theme in which the campers in every age group participate. Whether it be Western Week or Wacky Week, each group has a chance to “show off their stuff” and actively participate and enjoy themselves as a group and as individuals. We plan dozens of camp-wide theme-related activities during the course of the week, ensuring something for everyone!

Our Mission Statement

The Greeks believed that happiness could be achieved by developing “a sound mind in a sound body.” The Twin Oaks philosophy reflects this principle and more.

Our program is based on a variety of athletic, creative, and developmental activities. Campers achieve a variety of experiences in a non-competitive, safe, and happy atmosphere. We aim to develop solid skills, encourage confidence, and motivate every individual with spirit and enthusiasm.

Our goals for campers include:

            • Becoming confident and comfortable away from home

            • Gaining independence and building confidence from new experiences

            • Becoming part of a group and respecting the rights and feelings of others

            • Development of friendships, including sharing with and caring about others

            • Gaining new skills, interests and abilities

            • Finding positive solutions to problems

            • Having fun and being happy in a warm and welcoming environment

Twin Oaks encompasses total child development. We provide an atmosphere of support and encouragement to promote skills development, social growth, and confidence building. We want what YOU want…. your camper to be happy! Our exceptional staff treats your child like family.

The truth is, your child’s camp day starts as soon as they get on our buses! Campers of all ages love to interact with the other campers on the bus. They make “bus friends” and look forward to the ride in and the ride home every day. We provide round-trip door-to-door transportation (with the exception of the Barney program). We are happy to accommodate all your transportation needs (different pick-up/drop-off locations, drop-off at grandma’s, etc.)

All of our drivers are highly trained. We follow all New York State Department of Transportation guidelines and exceed the state’s minimum requirements.

A friendly, responsible bus counselor accompanies the driver on every run. Campers enjoy bantering, singing, and socializing with their bus counselor daily. The bus counselor greets your child and engages them, ensuring that every ride is a fun one!

Twin Oaks provides lunch (with the exception of the Barneys) and snack daily. We also serve ices or ice cream at the end of every day. We strive to maintain a peanut and tree nut-free campus. We rigorously enforce this for the safety of our campers with allergies. We can also accommodate any special dietary needs, such as kosher lunches, dairy-free lunches, and soy foods, for example.

Our lunch program includes a variety of hot and cold foods daily, including fresh fruit. We always offer a hot choice but have many alternatives to accommodate your child’s palate or your special requests.
