This may be your child’s first camp experience and at Twin Oaks we make it our mission to ensure your child’s experience is a happy one. We introduce these young campers to game concepts and skills training through play and experiences.
Our Athletic Director, Aquatics Director, Fun & Games Supervisor, and Arts & Crafts Director all work together to create an age-appropriate experience for your child. In our athletic program, we use adaptive equipment and reduced field size so that the children remain motivated while experiencing success each step of the way. Children are exposed to music, dance, arts and crafts, and theatre (designed to encourage interaction with their peers).
Our specialized swim instruction is led by Nassau County certified and WSI certified lifeguards. It is designed to encourage preschoolers to feel comfortable in the water, build their confidence, and develop swimming skills at their own pace. We provide the towels.
This program is available for a full day (9 am – 4 pm) or a ¾ day basis (hours vary depending on age; see the Enrollment Form for exact times). We offer this program for any number of days ; two, three, four, or five days a week. All groups are supervised by an adult group leader and maintain a staff camper ratio of 1 to 4.
This program is nurturing, warm, and developmentally appropriate for your preschool-aged child. All the Group Leaders in our Lower Camp are mature adults and typically parents themselves. Our staff treats your children like their own!
